so last night i saw one of my top 5 shows of all times. i have loved the beastie boys since i was a little kid…it was actually the first cd i bought ever and had sadly never seen them live. not only did i get to finally see them but the show was at small venue in charlotte called amos’ and i was front row the whole time.

i owe it all to my friend kelly k who somehow got 5 tickets to this last minute super secret show. i knew no details about the show before i got there…just a text message from kelly saying that she got me a ticket to the beastie boys show.

to my surprise it was a “rock the vote show” and as a big bonus santo gold was opening. she was so dope!!! sheryl crow also opened and somehow they made the mistake of putting sheryl crow in between santo gold and the beasties which was kind of a buzzkill. santo gold had everyone so hyped then shryl crow came out with an acoustic guitar.

regardless it was an amazing show and being so close made it ridiculous. like the genius i am i forgot my camera at home and had to use my crappy blackberry camera…again. i really need to get better about that. check out the blurry pics below.
